Method
How the compliance ledger turns source law into dated address determinations.
Sources
Primary legal materials are registered with retrieval dates and fingerprints.
Extraction and quote verification
Rules are extracted from source law and checked against the quoted text.
Address resolution
Each address is resolved to its legal city and state before rules are applied.
Validation
The engine is tested against an independently built answer key.
| Validation set | Result |
|---|---|
| Module A dev split | 39/39 |
| seed60 | 569/569 |
| seed20 | 190/190 |
| blind holdout20, single run | 192/192 |
| change tests T1 to T5 | 5/5 |
| unknown rate | 27.3% |
These figures measure our engine against an independently built key that applies the same reviewed legal rulings; the organisers' hidden key is the real test.
Where it fits
Statute Street is the legal layer for a property operating system: dated, evidence-backed determinations for every address, so pricing, leasing and screening act within local, state and federal law.
- Pricing gate: before a rent recommendation is issued, the pricing engine queries the determination for that address and date; the operator keeps the final say.
- Property record: determinations are stored against the unit with their as-of date, citation and quoted text, and refreshed when the change register posts a new effective date.
- Lease administration: a reliance record is generated at each lease event and kept with the lease, so an audit shows what was known on the day.
Quotes and citations are shown in English in both languages.
